From the President

Under our constitution, I am retiring as your president. The president’s baton is being passed on to president-elect, Phillip Reiss at our AGM held on 16 May 2009.

My time as AOPA president has been most rewarding. I would like to thank the board for their total support and the way a harmonious board is able to play the game as a team. We certainly have kicked a few milestone goals over the last three years! We at AOPA present a united front on the many issues affecting our members.

I would also personally like to thank Sharyn Persijn and Brian Bigg, our magazine graphic designer and editor, for the fantastic job they have done with our magazine - the best aviation magazine in the country and getting better with every issue. Thank you, Sharyn and Brian.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Jill White (Membership Services), Kylie Lovell (Advertising) and Julie Mahlberg (Accounts) for their support during my presidency.

I look forward to still serving on the board and looking after your interests.
