AOPA Weighs In To Support GA Revitalisation Plan
August 16, 2010
AOPA has joined forces with other GA leaders to support a General Aviation Rescue Plan.
Together with AMROBA, RFACA, AAAA and RAAA, AOPA is supporting a major, combined initiative to overcome years of inertia and help rebuild the General Aviation sector that has suffered from decades of government indifference and policy failures.
Ken Cannane, AMROBA’s Executive Director and AOPA’s President Phillip Reiss have met and discussed the potential benefits for GA that could come from advancing the initiative with minimal delay in conjunction with all facets of the GA industry.
The ten point GA rescue package covers engagement with industry associations, funding, pilot and engineering skills, airports, security, efficiency, compliance costs and regulatory reform, based on the US FAA system of simple regulations for simple operations. Stay tuned to the website for more information about this vital initiative.
