New Site – Information for AOPA Members
You would have now noticed the new AOPA website which was launched today (10th May, 2008). Unfortunately, time pressure has meant that not all content from the old AOPA website has yet been ported across to the new site.
Members may find it convenient to access the old AOPA site, which is still available at the following link:
This site will be left online for a period of time, until all significant content has been moved across to the new AOPA website.
In particular, several convenient member services such as the online weather are still to be migrated to the new site, but can be accessed from the old site until this process has been completed.
Existing Member Access to Website
PLEASE NOTE THAT LOG-INS AND PASSWORDS FROM THE OLD SITE WILL NOT WORK ON THIS SITE
Current AOPA members can gain access to members-only areas of the site by signing up using the Existing AOPA Members signup form. The form is the blue-section form on the left side of the below web-page (follow the link below):
Existing AOPA Member Signup Form
You will be asked to provide your name, email and AOPA membership number. An automated email will be sent to AOPA staff, who will add your access to the site. You will receive an automated confirmation email once this step has been completed.
The new site has no knowledge of AOPA membership details, which is why it is necessary to step through this online sign-up process. Once you have signed up, you will be able to view members-only content (e.g. recent AOPA magazine articles) and access the Member Offers section of the Member Services site. This section contains important member-only information on benefits such as car rental, etc.
Member feedback and suggestions
Launching a new website for the convenience of members is a challenging task and we ask you for your patience while this process is completed. We welcome your feedback and suggest you use the online contact form to provide us with your thoughts on the new website and any suggestions you may have for further improvement.
