NEW AOPA MAGAZINE EDITOR

Introducing Brian Bigg, who has a long and colourful history in the media and in aviation.

He was part of the team which developed Big Brother in Holland in the late 1990’s (and for which he continually apologises) and he produced the hit TV show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” in 23 countries (He can tell you how you can win the million, by the way).

He has variously been Deputy Editor of the Northern Star Newspaper in Lismore, NSW, Editor of Life Weekly magazine and Chief of Staff in the newsrooms of all the commercial television channels in Sydney.

He acts as a consultant to television production companies both in Australia and abroad

He is the author of two movie scripts, neither of which has seen the light of day, a book about his European travels and, surprisingly, two works of poetry which were commissioned by the Australian Olympic Committee as part of Australia’s successful 2000 Olympic bid.

He has held his GA licence since 1986 and an RAAus licence since 2003. He is the proud owner of an ATEC Zephyr two seater and regularly commutes along the East coast between Sydney and Ballina.

His tip for navigating along the coast? When heading north, keep Australia on your left.
