Western Australia Miner, Mitch Beck, has won the GA Survey prize – an Aerofix 406 Personal Locator Beacon generously donated by RFD (Australia) in Cheltenham, Victoria. The prize was drawn by AOPA Vice President Brian Hannan.
Mitch thanks Airservices and RFD for the prize.
“(The beacon) is the first real prize I’ve won, other than a bottle of hot sauce,” Mitch said. “It’s very useful to me working in the Pilbara Region and flying between the Cloud Break mine site between Port Hedland and Newman.”
Airservices thanks the General Aviation community, actively establishing tomorrow’s airline pilots and small aircraft charter, for their outstanding response to the GA Survey.
Results from the survey are being finalised and are expected to be available in the next issue of AOPA’s Australian Pilot magazine.
